Job Description
To develop the radiation therapy treatment plan with a dose limiting structure as defined by tumor volume as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. To design and construct beam modifying devices for optimal radiation dose. To assist the therapist with simulation and implementation of treatment. To participate in clinical research.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a related field required. Two (2) years of radiation therapy experience preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified, or eligible to be certified, as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) required. If eligible to be certified, certification must be obtained within eighteen (18) months from date of hire. ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy ARRT(T) preferred.
