surrounding communities in 1661. It became part of Beaumont Health in September 2014. In
addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit, obstetrical care and other specialty services to assist our community. There are 6 inpatient operating rooms, an inpatient cystoscopy suite, an inpatient endoscopy suite, a cath lab/IR suite with 2 bays, and 2 dedicated OB operating rooms. There is an attached outpatient surgery center with 4 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy suites, along with 2 DaVinci surgical robots, with one in the surgery center 2 days per week.
There is an anesthesiologist and CRNA on site 24/7. Corewell Trenton is a close knit group of physicians, nurses, and professionals that care for a population with diverse pathology. While most medical problems are actively managed on site, we do have the Corewell and greater Metro Detroit facilities available to care for the most complex of patients. The ED is frequently #1 or 2 in acuity of patients, with top scores for mortality —we care for very sick patients and get very good outcomes. Our patient catchment is large, and spans from the Ohio-Michigan border to Dearborn along the I-75 and I-275 corridors.
