A hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, has an opportunity for a Radiation Oncologist to assist with locum coverage.

Opportunity Overview:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Call Requirement: Weeknights (5p-7:30a) and weekends (24-hour), 1 week per month
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
• Daily Volume: ~4 inpatients, ~25-30 outpatients
• Cases: Thyroid, H&N, thoracic, GI, GU, sarcoma, melanoma, lymphoma, metastatic disease
• Duties: Procedures, consultations, treatment planning, treatment supervision, OTV patient management, follow-ups
• Required Procedures: 3D, IMRT, and SBRT
• Equipment: Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, Cyberknife, Elekta HDR
• Support Staff: Radiation oncologists, practice manager, RNs, MAs, medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, office staff, and procedure scheduler
• EMR: Aria and Cerner
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Radiation Oncologist Arizona state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Radiation Oncologist program
• One year of work experience as Radiation Oncologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
