Position Summary
The Radiation Therapist safely administers precise doses of radiation to patients under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Oncology Manager, following the principles of ALARA.
This role involves performing radiotherapy simulations and treatments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in implementing new simulation or treatment techniques and equipment as our program continues to evolve.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiation Therapy Technology
Experience: Registered or registry-eligible Radiation Therapist with at least one year of clinical experience
Licensure/Certification:
Registered or registry-eligible Radiologic Technologist – RT(T)
Kansas License for Radiology Technology
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) – or obtained within 90 days of employment
