Radiation Therapist (Full-Time)
Proton-Photon-TomoTherapy
Oklahoma Proton Center, Oklahoma’s only APEx-Accredited Proton Center, is seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our growing team. Essential Functions
- Deliver daily radiation treatments (proton, photon, tomotherapy) and perform simulation procedures according to prescription and treatment plan.
- Verify patient identity, treatment site, immobilization devices, and setup parameters before initiating therapy.
- Operate treatment machines, imaging systems, and positioning devices with accuracy and attention to safety standards.
- Collaborate with the care team to monitor patient condition, manage side effects, and provide compassionate support throughout the treatment process.
- Document treatments and assessments accurately in the EMR.
- Perform and record daily quality assurance (QA) checks and notify physics/engineering staff of any equipment issues.
- Maintain treatment rooms and equipment.
- Assist in training, orientation, and mentoring of new staff, students, or residents as appropriate.
- Participate in process improvement, safety initiatives, and departmental meetings.
- Uphold all policies related to infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and CMS/MIPS documentation.
