RWJBarnabas Health is Seeking a Full-Time Radiation Oncologist at Community Medical Center in Southern New Jersey
RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Radiation Oncologist to join the Radiation Oncology Department at Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey.
The successful candidate will join a busy and highly productive department currently consisting of two radiation oncologists. The department provides comprehensive cancer treatment to patients throughout Ocean County and is equipped with two linear accelerators, HDR brachytherapy, and CyberKnife technology. Its advanced precision treatment capabilities also attract patients from outside the hospital’s primary service area.
This additional position is supported by the Oncology Service Line’s strategic growth plan and will help the department meet the needs of a growing cancer patient population. The addition of another physician will enhance clinical capacity, expand access to radiation oncology services, and support the continued growth of cancer care throughout the region.
About the Position
- Provide comprehensive clinical care within the Radiation Oncology Department.
- Serve as an attending physician for Community Medical Center patients.
- Collaborate with 2 physicians, clinical staff and multidisciplinary oncology teams.
- Utilize advanced radiation treatment technologies, including linear accelerators, HDR brachytherapy and CyberKnife.
- Participate in night and weekend call coverage according to the department schedule.
- Participate in teaching responsibilities as delegated by department leadership.
- Support community and physician outreach initiatives.
- Participate in medical education programs as needed.
- Contribute to ongoing performance-improvement reviews in accordance with governmental and Community Medical Center guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
- Board certification or board eligibility in Radiation Oncology.
- New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.
- Interest in outreach and collaborative multidisciplinary practice.
- New graduates and experienced Radiation Oncologists are encouraged to apply.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $500,000 to $750,000 per year.
The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience
